Social Impact Assessment of CRWC’s CSR -SD ‘Adarsh Gram Project’ Village Laxmipura, Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan

A detailed social impact assessment study/survey, on assessing the impact created by the activities/facilities created for the village Laxmipura under Sawai Madhopur, a BRGF Districts for development initiatives, was undertaken by Empowering Minds with the support from the Central Railway Warehouse Company Limited (A Govt. of India Enterprise).

The primary objective of this study is to assess the impact of the activities done under the ‘Adarsh Gram project’ in the village Laxmipura, of Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan.

To examine and assess the impact of infrastructure created and activities done under the CRWC-Adarsh Gram project on the beneficiaries. Also, to understand the extent of impact created and the benefits are sustained by the beneficiaries.

Impact Assessment Delhi Brotherhood Society Project ‘Helpline for Violence against Women’ for the Project period: 2015 – 2017

Conduct an Impact Assessment Study for Delhi Brotherhood Society for its project titled ‘Women Helpline for Violence against Women in Delhi.’ In 2014 the Delhi Brotherhood Society was awarded a project by the USPG (United Society Partners in the Gospel, UK) to implement the project for a period of three years. The project was to be implemented in Seemapuri and Mandoli areas of Delhi.

The main aim of the project was to mitigate violence against women through the helpline services followed by on-ground activities.

Analytical Report of Baseline Survey for Asha Deep Foundation, Delhi NCR

    • Project: Protection of Child Rights in the Metal Ware Industry of Moradabad, UP in collaboration with UNICEF
    • Details of Work: Preparation of Analytical Baseline Survey Report from Raw Field Data.
    • Activities Undertaken: Data entry and compilation of a baseline data collected from 22 slums of Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, analysis of data through SPSS package, prepared charts and table and preparation of an analytical report.
    • Status / Period: Completed; March, 2011

Baseline Survey on Level of Social Exclusion of Deprived Children of Seemapuri ‘F’ Block

    • Organisation: Asha Deep Foundation (ADF)
    • Project: Social Exclusion Project in collaboration Save the Children Fund.
    • Details of Work: Baseline Survey Report on ‘Level of Social Exclusion of Deprived Children ‘F’ block Seemapuri was conducted to understand the issue of social exclusion and its extent of its prevalence in the target area, the socio-economic and cultural factors leading families into social exclusion and discrimination and help develop a plan to tackle the social exclusion in the area.
    • Activities Undertaken: In consultation with ADF project team a research design was prepared for the study, data collection through questionnaires and focused group discussion with all the stakeholders was analyzed in detail in the SPSS package. Desk research was also done before the report preparation. Recommendation and suggestions were made with a scope for the implementation at the policy level.

Compendium of Government Schemes and Programmes for Socially excluded children

    • Organisation: Asha Deep Foundation (ADF)
    • Project: Social Exclusion Project in collaboration Save the Children Fund.
    • Details of Work: A compendium of Government schemes and programs of socially excluded children was prepared. The compendium was prepared for the target beneficiaries so that they can be benefitted from various schemes and programs and ask for it.
    • Activities Undertaken: Desk Research and visit to the Govt Deptt. For collection of schemes and programs and then compiling and summarizing it so that it could be easily understandable.

Formative Research on ‘Migrant Youth living in slum clusters and HIV/AIDS: A Study Report.

  • Project: Production and Management of a Radio Program for Urban and Semi-Urban Youth (With Focus on Migrants and Slum Clusters) and Related Community Based Activities in collaboration with NACO
  • Details of Work: Formative Research study was undertaken for the development of Radio program for the Migrant Youth residing in the districts of Delhi NCR and MP.
  • Activities Undertaken: Provided technical support and conducted the study in 3 states (Delhi, UP and MP). Study tools were prepared and pre-tested, data collection and data analysis in SPSS package was done. The report highlighted the key gaps and issues that hinder the awareness of migrants living in the slum clusters and resettlement colonies around HIV/AIDS and related issues. The conclusions drawn from the survey findings were woven in the stories and aired through the Radio program.
