Welcome to Empowering Minds
Empowering Minds -Society for Research and Development (EM) is a registered NGO set up under the Societies Act (1860). It utilizes various participative methodologies in working with individuals and communities for empowering them to attain better quality of life and sustained development.
Empowering Minds was started by a group of like-minded individuals in May 2007, who came together to serve the society in whichever way possible. The first opportunity came with a voluntary training assignment for a research project with the local NGOs in Delhi whose field investigators were trained in data collection and data cleaning and further analysis.

It is heartening to see that the impact of the work we do is not only visible but also growing each year. This year, under the project on Parent Empowering Parents (PEP) program, the parents and caregivers from South Region were empowered with skills and tools on how to raise a child with bleeding disorders. Empower Young Minds the Education program for the underprivileged children got a boost by partnering with Smile Foundation under its Mission Education Program to provide the quality education to the children. Almost 55 children from the Empowering Minds Education Center alone were mainstreamed in to the Government school Our Research team bagged projects to conduct Impact Assessments for the Public Sector Company and for a donor of an NGO, which was very encouraging board members, staff members, volunteers, interns, friends and well-wishers to donors and grant makers paid off. We are also covered in newspaper and TV. We will continue to climb the ladder of hope and action with determination and overcome to obstacles to touch and transform lives around us. Empowering Minds was invited for talk at conference and workshop in India and abroad
